About Okee

Okee is an on-demand home services marketplace. Homeowners request a job, we dispatch a verified local pro, and the pro shows up when they said they would. That’s the whole product.

What’s different

Home services in most cities are a fifteen-minute phone tree followed by a two-day wait, followed by a technician who may or may not arrive in the four-hour window they gave you. Okee replaces that with the pattern rideshare taught everyone to expect: request, confirm, watch the pro arrive on a map, get an invoice you can actually read.

Where we differ from a rideshare app: home services aren’t interchangeable. A licensed electrician isn’t the same as an appliance repair specialist. So instead of matching any nearby contractor, Okee dispatches by trade, service area, availability, and a trust score that considers on-time arrivals, completion rates, and homeowner feedback.

Verified pros

Every contractor on Okee has to submit government-issued ID, business details, and — for trades that require it in Texas — a valid occupational license and a current certificate of general liability insurance. Okee reviews those documents during onboarding and revokes access when they lapse. What that means and what it doesn’t is spelled out on our Verification & Insurance page.

Confirmed appointments

When you submit a request, Okee finds a match and a pro accepts the appointment before you get a confirmation. If the confirmed pro can’t make it, we rematch you at no extra dispatch cost. If we can’t rematch inside a reasonable window, we release your card hold.

Where we operate

Okee is launching in the greater Houston, Texas metro area. We’re starting narrow on purpose: a marketplace is only useful when there are enough pros nearby to accept a request in minutes rather than days. Expansion to other Texas metros is on the roadmap once Houston reaches the density we need.
